But when recently I got to drive, I felt fear in mind & lack of confidence. I decided to take refresher training directly on our family car. When I was searching on net, I got information about Devaaji sir who offers training directly on your own car. I called him & we decided about training time & date. (Please note : He is very Busy fellow but he always make a time to teach u.) "Its been so long since anything was updated on my blog and today i thought it was the right time to do some rambling. Today's blog is all about my driving experience... It all began about 2 years back when a friend took pity on me and tried to teach me driving, poor old guy... it was all going well till we were driving around a garden in our society. After 3-4 rounds we stopped and i dont know what was going on through his mind, he told me to park the 800 in his garage. At that point i was completely unaware of the power a car can have, i tried to take it up the slope, pressed the accelerator a lil too hard and then BAMM!!! the garage gate went flying, the left side of the car got scratched badly. That was my first driving experience, interesting huh :) Last year i thought finally it was time for me to buy a car, after few months of research and lay offs/recessions all around, finally settled on a 2nd hand Getz a couple of months back. (By d way, a frnd of mine is in used car business, if u ever r planning for a 2nd car drop me a mail, he will get u a really good deal and NO i am not getting any commission for advertising this). Anywez, the story is not about the car but about my experience of learning driving. Last year in dec, i joined a driving class (i wont name it here but they all r d same). Trust me, any driving class u'll join is NOT actually a cource that will teach u driving, its a course that familiarize u with driving... 3-5K just to get urself familiarized with driving basics, not worth. At the end of these courses u feel like u have mastered it, but when u actually get behind ur own vehicle u will know the difference. Reason? these driving school vehicles are fitted with extra set of clutch/brake on other side, so its actually the trainer who is controlling it not U... So, i learned, sry, familiarized my self with driving, got my license, bought a car... BUT couldn't drive. So i decided to go for a personal trainer, initially i contacted a person in Bibawewadi (again, no names), He came to my place a couple of times, taught me some basics, but then got sick, got busy with his relatives and what not... not very professional, a good teacher but not very professional. So at the end of this training i knew the basics, i knew that i can drive but just didnt have the confidence to drive on my own. Now, here comes the Messiah, the Rescuer, the Man i'll alwez remember as the man who taught me driving... DEVAAJI (just type in Devaaji Pune in google and u'll get loads of good reviews, i got his number from Quickr) Know, u shud remember one thing if u want to learn driving from him, he is not doing this for money. U might have excess money to spend but he doesn't have time for it. So unless you are really really interested to learn driving and you want to be a better and responsible driver, dont bother to call him. He is such a fun during the training, a cool headed funny guy who wants to boost your confidence to drive. What he does is he concentrates on your mistakes and tries to help u master those things. U make a mistake 10 times he'll teach u not to do it 10 times. Not even once u'll hear him shout on u, a BIG PLUS. I specifically was very afraid to drive in traffic. A funny thing to share... I told him that i was afraid to drive in heavily crowded places, what if someone comes too close... he tells me, think of a HOT girl standing in front of u in a bus, what will she do if u try to go too close? She will move away right??? so should we, try to stay clear stay safe Cheers!!!
